Buzzfeed x Lyft – The Ride to Vote
According to public records, over 15 million people registered to vote in the United States but did not make it to the polls due to transportation issues. As the mid-term poll date approaches, Lyft has partnered with Buzzfeed to offer 50% off rides to polling stations on November 6th. With the current political climate and shockingly low turnout of voters in the last election, Buzzfeed and Lyft hope to give those who currently don’t have the opportunity to make it to a local voting station the chance to make a difference. To commemorate this event, Lyft has put together a mural of “unused ballots” on New York’s Lower East Side with information regarding the promotion on how consumers can take advantage. With the topic so prevalent in the media, Lyft has positioned itself in a smart way to draw in rides in a highly competitive ride-share market.
Astralwerks and Ninja collaborate on an upcoming compilation album titled Ninjawerks
Tyler Blevens, a.k.a. Ninja has catapulted himself to stardom within the gaming community, most notably playing the popular game Fortnite with the likes of Drake and Travis Scott. No stranger to the sponsorship space, Blevins continues to capitalize on his notoriety through his latest partnership with the dance music label Astralwerks. Together the two powerhouses will release compilation album appropriately titled “Ninjawerks” which will feature electronic heavy tracks curated by the gamer himself. While no official track list has been released, the project will likely showcase artists from the labels roster. This move shows the power of online gaming in its ability to not only reach a large like minded audience but to also create a form of celebrity within the community. Not only will the album act as a promotional platform for the label and its artists but will also add credibility to Ninja and allow him to explore opportunities within the music space and quite possibly extend the shelf life of his brand.
