Sneaker Reselling Platform GOAT Signs Kyle Kuzma to Sponsorship Deal
Sneaker reselling platform GOAT has established itself as an industry leader in the sneaker world. As streetwear has risen in the cultural zeitgeist, consumers have coveted exclusive sneakers. GOAT has monetized sneaker culture, by providing a platform for sneakerheads to trade and sell their rare and exclusive shoes. GOAT currently sits at 7 million users, and continues to expand. In its latest move to expand the platform, GOAT has signed Kyle Kuzma to a sponsorship deal. As part of the deal, GOAT will be supplying Kuzma with exclusive Nike sneakers and tracking what he wears through their social media channels. This is the first partnership of its kind, as it promotes resell culture and leans into the culture of the sneaker marketplace as opposed to the promotion of a specific line of athlete branded shoes. While it is limited by Kuzma’s Nike deal, it has the potential of breaking industry trends, as GOAT can follow-up this deal and sign unsponsored athletes outright to have them promote the more exclusive sneakers on GOAT across all brands.
