Loreal’s “This Ad Is For Men” Print Ad

The sad truth about gender equality in Germany: Men dominate the management and executive boards - with 91.4%. Based on a data project, L'Oreal Paris collected and analyzed several studies and data sets with results that led to the first cosmetic advertising for men.

The International Women’s Day effort from L’Oreal Paris simplified the message of lack of gender diversity in senior management positions by demonstrating the benefits of female leadership via some of the corporate executives’ very favorite things: charts and graphs. However, these charts and graphs were made with L’Oreal products. Some feel that the product integration effort could have been stronger with bolder text and graphics to make the message more clear, rather than the focus most predominantly being the products.

Red Lobster's Insulated "Cheddar Bay Biscuit" Fanny Packs

In honour of National Buttermilk Biscuit Day on May 14th, Red Lobster created a limited-edition Cheddar Bay Biscuit fanny pack. Red Lobster put a practical spin on the functional waist bags that customers can win via contest on social media.

Many brands have created their own iterations of streetwear brands given the mass popularity and normalization of streetwear as everyday wear. While many brands efforts seem forced and fall a bit flat, we think this effort is great given the practical function of the insulated fanny pack - while consumers might not use it to store their cheddar bay biscuits, they may use it for a more common use, such as keeping beverages cold at a music festival.

NBCU Brings Shoppable Ads to Broadcast TV

NBCU has debuted shoppable programming that may appear during advertisements and regular broadcast across their networks. NBC, NBC Sports, Bravo, E! are just a handful of networks that have introduced ShoppableTV after cutting commercial clutter by 20% to provide consumers a better viewing experience.

During an advertisement, a QR code appears on screen for the consumer to scan with their camera and purchase online.
